BECOME A YOGA INSTRUCTOR

The purpose of this 200hr programme is to provide a supportive environment in which you begin to connect with your inner teacher, your internal wisdom, and your authentic voice. Through pranayama, asana practise, mind-body journaling, group conversation, reading, and guided meditation, you will practice the essential process of conscious listening to your own higher self. COURSE OVERVIEW

This three-week intensive is designed to immerse you in every aspect of yoga, from physical practice to philosophy, sequencing, and teaching methodology. The training offers a perfect balance of deepening your practice, gaining practical teaching skills, and exploring yoga’s transformative potential for your life.

Developing a Safe and Effective Personal Practice: Learn the essential elements of cultivating a sustainable yoga practice and how to share these with others.

Asana Clinics: Break down the poses of the Primary Series to understand alignment, modifications, and how to teach with clarity and confidence.

Sequencing in Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga: Study the science of sequencing to create balanced, fluid classes.

Yoga Philosophy & History: Dive into the history and philosophy of Ashtanga Yoga and its influence on modern practice.

Yoga Off the Mat: Explore how to integrate yoga principles into your everyday life for personal transformation and growth.

...and much more, including pranayama (breathwork), meditation, mind-body journaling, group discussions, and practical teaching opportunities.

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

To receive your 200hr Yoga Teacher Training Certification, you will need to:

• Attend all training sessions (with prearranged exceptions).

• Complete a written exam on yoga philosophy, history, and quizzes on the asana poses.

• Lead a one-on-one class to demonstrate your teaching skills.

  
  

Upon completion, you will be fully certified to begin sharing your practice and can register with Yoga Alliance as a registered yoga teacher (RYT 200). This training is also eligible for continuing education with Yoga Alliance, counting toward the YA 300hr and 500hr certifications.

No prior teaching experience required - all we ask for is a dedication to your personal practice and an open mind.

LOCATION & LANGUAGE

The training will take place at Golden Web near Moncarapacho in the Algarve. Nestled in the heart of Portugal’s Eastern Algarve, Golden Web is an enchanting, organic farm blessed with over 1200 years of history. Surrounded by natural beauty—ancient aqueducts, a sacred well, and the tranquil Ria Formosa eco-reserve—this sacred space is the perfect setting to embark on your journey of transformation. You’ll be just minutes away from peaceful white-sand beaches and a charming Portuguese fishing village, offering a perfect blend of seclusion and connection to nature.

The course and the materials are in English.

TRAINER

This training will be led by Lena Younes (RYT500). Throughout the training, you’ll also be joined by guest trainers and assistants from the INBODHI community, offering their expertise and perspectives.

FOOD & ACCOMMODATION

Staying at the venue is optional - however, Golden Web offers beautiful accommodations, from glamping tents to luxuriously renovated cottages. All accommodations come with a light breakfast to start your day. Weekly pricing is based on Golden Web's Weave Your Own Retreat prices with a €100 discount per week. Freshly prepared vegetarian or vegan lunch can be provided at an extra charge if enough participants are interested.
